2022 Winemaking Notes
This is a purpose-built Rosé: Grapes clusters arrive, whole cluster pressed with lots of solids and then placed in neutral French Oak barrels. Fermentation is all native without any additions other than Mother Nature’s heat to get it to go dry by the first quarter. Obviously this year; Oregon’s wettest spring in decades, plus the coldest April in history, the wine took longer to come around, hence the late release date. This extra slow fermentation resulted in an even more complex wine than previous vintages.
